Dear Fellow CAUTS,
I will be retiring from my position at the UT Butler School after 40 years at the end of the year. The job will probably be posted by the middle of August. We will also post in the PTG classified ads.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a qualified candidate. The school is in a very desirable city, and has quite supportive and appreciative administrators, faculty, and students. We have 233 pianos, including 12 Steinway D's and nearly 50 Steinway B's, five harpsichords, and one fortepiano. Our piano tech staff consists of two full-time and two half-time techs. The Butler School is engaged in a fundraising campaign to make us an all Steinway school.
Please contact me if you have any interest or questions:
ckball@austin.utexas.eduBTW, the Tucson conference, with a CAUT emphasis upon historical stringed keyboard instruments, was quite excellent. I am always awed by the diverse skills and talents of the instructors.
Thank you,
Charles
