i would not leave a piano in a room where a fogger is going to be used. Many times foggers over spray some areas and not others. If the pianos can not be moved properly and safely it would be a good idea to wrap them with good tarps and plastic film. It may also be possible to move them to the side and erect a floor to ceiling plastic barrier wall often used for construction projects. There probably is an MSDS (material safety data sheet) that lists ingredients and cautions for handling and use. How often will this type of cleaning be done and what is the goal ? There are guidelines published by Yamaha,Steinway and others on the hows and whats of cleaning pianos plus materials posted on the CAUT community. One of the big concerns now is how much is spread by air condition and heating vents as well as fans. Many hvac companies here are using ultra-violet air scrubbers to target viruses its hard to determine if they perform as advertised
I just worked on a Steinway & Sons grand yesterday that has only been in a home two months. Already the sound board, plate, webbing, damper heads have a fine powdery coating of what is probably drywall dust from home reno work. It just shows how things can find their way into, under through things

Subject: Fogging Rooms with Pianos
I received an enquiry this morning from a local high school music teacher regarding the disinfectant fogging of rooms in which pianos were located. The product being used, I was told, is Basix neutral disinfectant cleaner. I don't know what affect this would have on a piano, but I suggested that weatherstripping around the rim of a grand might not be a bad idea.
I would appreciate any insight you might have into this proposal.
