Hi All,
Employees throughout the University of Wisconsin are undergoing a restructuring of job descriptions and titles. This is intended to help with consistency with other public and private sector positions. It's time in the process for administration to seek input from us piano technicians at UW--Madison on a number of aspects of the new job descriptions and titles. (yeah!)
Can we get some input from CAUT members--especially those with one or more full time employee at an institution?
How many full time technicians are FLSA exempt status? How many are part time exempt?
Of course, there is the minimum experience and RPT requirements for our positions. How many institutions have additional expectations of a post-high school degree for their technicians?
Thanks for your comments on these.
