    Can anyone please tell me the meaning of these numbers cast in the plate of this Steinway grand from 1901?  I forgot my tape measure to say what model it is.  I'll have to look at it tomorrow, again.

    Thank you for the information.  I emailed David Kirkland the photos today, and he sent me back the information.  It was exactly as Mr. Roeder stated, and he even told me that it was a model A, delivered to a dealer in Toledo in August, 1902.
