    Hi everyone,

My university has gone to online training only, like every other school around.
I recall a discussion here recently about using Zoom for chapter technicals.
That's what we're using, and I can tell you it works very well.  It's important for
everyone but the current speaker to mute his or her microphone to stop background
noise, but it's simple to click that on and off.  Also, there is a chat function where
you can send a note to the group, or to an individual, all of whom are listed
alphabetically, so that stops a lot of cross-interruptions.  We are also getting
narrated lectures we can listen to in our own time, and then meet online for a review.

That might be a good way to present technicals.  Participants could listen in
advance, then meet and go over everything together.  So much good extra
information comes out of the group sessions, not to mention the sheer joy
of being together.  I'm grateful that that part of school isn't completely gone.

Luckily for me, I'm working this semester at a farm so we are allowed to keep
going, although the rest of my class can't join in.  I learned how to drive a
Farmall yesterday, as well as irrigated the high tunnel full of vegetable transplants
    and seeds.

    Hang in there, everyone,
    Sending you my best,
    Ruth

Hello.  My chapter is holding its first meeting using the Zoom app, and I'm looking for ideas about what might work well as a technical.
    Thanks.
