As a bibliophile I generally know how to find books, but I don't see a
copy for sale at the used metasearch engines I frequently use:
bookfinder.com or used.addall.com. I see two copies on Worldcat that
lists the library copies closest to me, but I'm in Atlanta and these
are both located in Kansas.
https://www.worldcat.org/title/calculating-technician/oclc/25903112&referer=brief_resultsBooksellers, who always know how to find a book, might call such a
book scarce or rare.
Fortunately (I learned this googling "the calculating technician" and
perusing the links) it appears the book's contents are in (actually
from) the Journal, 1979-1981. I don't know if the Journal CD is still
for sale, but these issues should be downloadable for PTG members.

Subject: Emergency Request for The "Calculating Technician"
This is a sad story having to do with a colleague who had critical information from The Calculating Technician in spreadsheets that were not backed up. The drive crashed and his spreadsheets were not recovered. The book is now out of print. So, here's the request:
Is there anyone who would either sell, rent or loan a copy of The Calculating Technician so that my colleague can reconstruct his spreadsheets?
