    Hello CAUT Community,
Thank you for all of the great responses to my last call for help.
Currently I have a student looking to find the correct brush to use for playing the strings directly.
The piece is called TECHNO-PARADE by Guillaume Connesson, for flute, clarinet, and Piano.
Can anyone recommend size or texture, nylon/bristle, etc.
Thanks again for your considered and expert suggestions.

    Hi Mike-

Do you have a score? Is something called for there?

I found it on Youtube with score displayed https://youtu.be/H9k9_k_6Gig
    Wow! love the piece!

The brushing happens at about 3 minutes in, and seems to be just keeping the notes played from ringing clear. It says brosse souple which just means soft brush. In another Youtube video you can see the pianist uses a hair brush.

Looks like you'd better be sure E4 repeats like a champ :-)
