I've been using PianoScope lately for tuning. One of my clients has been using the Perfect 12th tuning in PS, but was encouraged to try the Balanced style instead. He initially liked it, but decided to go back to the pure 12th tuning. He made a recording to illustrate how a tuning style affects the beating of certain intervals, especially in the bass. Here is his recording, best heard in a good set of headphones:
