Does anyone remember seeing a Kimball harpsichord?
In a harpsichord chat group someone has posted photos of a "Kimball" harpsichord which he found in Texas.
The nameboard features a genuine plastic Kimball logo, and the case is finished in familiar Kimball orange mahogany.
The action and design are not historically based.
The instrument seems likely to have been built in the 1970s.
Baldwin was making an electric harpsichord around that time so perhaps Kimball was testing the market.
