This weekend I went down to New York City to do some dog sitting for a friend. My sister and I took a trip into Brooklyn and walked around Green-Wood Cemetery. It is a huge, 478-acre cemetery/arboretum, similar to Mt. Auburn in Boston.

I discovered that Albert Weber Sr., the founder of Weber Piano and his son Albert Weber Jr. are buried there, so I visited his grave. Weber made some of my favorite pianos. A couple of years ago, I picked up a 6-foot Weber grand from 1908 that I will restore next year. When I lived in Colorado, I owned a 1911 5'6" Weber Grand, which was one of the best sounding pianos I have ever encountered. I have posted pictures of the gravesite below.

And as an extra bonus, I have also posted pictures of Leonard Bernstein and his wife's grave. They are also buried at Green-Wood Cemetery.
