Might anyone know of a good replacement for the old PitchLab tuning app? I found it to be useful at times but they stopped upgrading the app a while ago and is no longer available. It was also useful to recommend PitchLab to harpsichord owners.

I find the AP Tuner app very useful. Tap on the menu bar to see the options, including a big list of temperaments.

Thanks Ed, I will give it a try. While browsing the app store I found a tuning app called Airyware Tuner and it sounds like a possibility. It is an in app purchase and I believe the price is $5.

I've been using Airyware since my PitchLab stopped functioning (still have PitchLab on an ancient iPad, but I really need an app on my phone). Airyware works fine, and was recommended on a couple harpsichord lists I subscribe to.

BTW, there is a nice harpsichord list, fairly new, called Jackrail you might like. Good, serious people, low volume, moderated.

Thanks Fred, when I finish with my latest project I will give Airyware and AP Tuner a try. I kept my old iPhone 5 just to use PitchLab but the battery is not lasting a whole day. I might try to replace the battery myself just to keep the cost down. It is nice to know there are other app options.

PitchLab worked on my iPhone SE for a good long time. Then I didn't use it for maybe a couple months, and the phone, in its infinite wisdom, "deleted it to the cloud" to save me space. So I had to re-download it from the App Store, which no longer carried it. A shame, I really liked that app.

So if you have it on your iPhone 5, keep the phone from interacting with Apple, probably meaning keep it on airplane mode. And don't update the iOS software (you probably haven't).

Yes, to keep Apple away from my iPhone 5 I turned off the wifi and I removed the sim card. PitchLab disappeared on an iPhone 6 I used for a little while.
