    Hello all,

Juan Durano here! I work in production for a feature film based in New York called "Maestro" and have been desperately trying to source an original Tonk Brothers piano for our director. I've called just about every piano shop in the state and no one seems to have any information on where I might find one.

From my own research, the Tonk Brothers were originally based in Chicago with a sister company in
New York, William Tonk & Bros. I understand these pianos are extremely rare and have been out of production for a while. If anyone can provide a lead (or perhaps even the piano in question!), I would be extremely grateful.

I can be reached via this thread, by my email at durano.juan@gmail.com, or by phone at (614)-592-5413. I've attached a link below to a history page regarding the Tonk Brothers if anyone is interested!

Many thanks to the community in advance!

    Hello Juan,

In my records, I have one Tonk grand piano listed.  It belongs to a family here in Northbrook, Illinois.  I have seen it only once in July of 2019.  It has the serial number 3810 and may have been built in the 1920s.  I do not have any more info on the piano, such as size, color, or condition.

    Thank you,

    Bruce
