I rescued this piano from an elementary school. It's still a solid piano, but got put on a tubular-frame vertical dolly (and the casters ditched).

What's the no-fuss-no-muss, wham-bam-thank-you way to get a new set of casters in place. Worse come to worse, I could just fill in the cut-out wells with pinblock stock, and install normal 7/16"-stem double-wheel casters.

Has anyone else done this? (Especially considering that these models originally had useless small-dia. steel casters.)

I've replace the small caster with larger double rubber casters. Attached via plates. I placed the original casters in a box and stored them inside the piano. Whenever you replace something, archive the OEM parts with the piano. Especially true for player installations, do not discard the trapwork!  When I place a grand on a truck, I archive the casters in a box or bag and place them on the shelf above the bass leg.  Think of the next guy... it might be you.
