Hello.  I'm working on a piano that has a Slow Fall key lid hinge that doesn't work anymore.  Can it be repaired or do I need to replace it?  If replacing, does anyone know where they come from?  Thanks very much.

That serial number has a Samick-y kind of look. Ask their technical support?

    Brand name?

If you succeed in getting a source order two one for left side and other for the right. Good luck considering the supply chain issues

These devices have now been around long enough to begin failing (obviously), so it is wise for us all to start learning how to either repair or replace them. I will be interested in how you fair with this Robert.

I recently replaced them on a 2003 Kawai RX-3. Easy enough to do. Don
Manino told me that the fall board should not be forced to close as it
will wear out the slow-fall units more quickly - good to know and to
share with clients whose pianos have them, as they are a bit on the
expensive side, especially with shipping costing what it does these
    days.
