thread that mentioned pianotek replacements. Sounds doable, but would require some expert drilling and custom fitting.

Before you plug and tap, check to see if they are metric. Many M&H agraffes are, the metric ones sold by Pianotek may fit.

I recently came across a 1904 Mason & Hamlin grand with a broken agraffe (single string). The stem diameter is .280. Nobody seems to have one this large. Mike Collins at M&H in Haverhill and the guys at Pianotech are suggesting I use an insert and tap it to a smaller diameter but before I go that route I wonder if anyone has any of these sitting around their shop. Any help would be appreciated.
