    I have an occasion where the pianist would like to use their ipad propped up directly sitting on the tuning pin field, with the usual music desk removed.  And they've asked for recommendations for the most stable stands/holders from apple or other brands.  Has anybody ever modified one for greater stability, or are there models that would suffice as is?

    All ideas welcome.
