Hi All,
A local piano store took a 2004 Sohmer grand piano in on trade and the movers were unable to remove the legs. With the lock screws backed out, the mounts did not budge! Two of the legs were loose in the mounts and the tenon just pulled out so they were able to move the piano but the tail leg was stuck tight. Curiously, the allen lock bolts seam to be bent and are captive in the mount. I do not move many pianos so I am not sure if the bolts are typically captive in the mount but to me, a bent screw seams to indicate some sort of problem. Any ideas are helpful!
