Client has a Kawai GX-2 grand and both cheek blocks are missing their little buttons. The hole for the button stem is 8mm diameter. Where do I go to order these buttons?

It's 5 years since I last ordered from Kawai, and my contact from that transaction is apparently no longer there.

    Hello Jason,

You should be able to order them from Kawai by calling 1 310-340-1176.

If that number doesn't work, try 800-421-2177 ext. 860.

Well I've tried 310-631-1771, and 310-340-1176, and 800-421-2177, and been advised several times to go to "Bumi" at ext 6867, and her mailbox is full and not accepting more messages, and that's all I can manage after 20 minutes of trying, on a Wednesday afternoon, Pacific time at 2:30 pm.

What is the time zone of Kawai US non-warranty Parts, and what time would a call be more likely to reach a human?

    Jason,

The service department seems to be a little under staffed lately, sorry about that. Partially my fault, I guess because I went and retired and caused a little daisy-chain of people moving, since David Reed took over in the Shigeru Kawai area.

Here are the accurate phone numbers:

800-421-2177, then press '1' for parts.  This gets you to Jeanie usually, it's a rotating number and is supposed to be answered by whoever is in the office and not on the phone.

310-761-6867 should be Bunmi, she is excellent but she does get backed up!

310-761-6862 is Jeanie, who knows parts very well but has way too much to do.

They are open 8am to 5pm Pacific time.
