  • 1.  Mason screw stringer

    I was contacted by someone in the LA area about a Mason & Hamlin screw stringer upright in quite good original condition (considering the age - seems to be original parts and a lovely case). He couldn't find anyone to work on it. He would like to either find someone who could restore it or sell/give it to someone who would care about it and give it a new life. 
    Please contact me privately if interested, and I'll give you his contact info. (He contacted me because of the screw stringer in the foundation museum).

    I'm quite certain I pretty well documented this piano many years ago.   It would be a good fit as a museum instrument, with an interesting soundboard (I remember ribs which were more like a "square piano" soundboard  in height).  Client wasn't ready to donate to Period Piano and we have since received another good museum example.
