A client of mine has an old American Emmett grand and wants to know its age and anything about the company. I only found one line in the Pierce Piano Atlas which says the name is controlled by the Collidge Piano Co. of Boston. The atlas says nothing about Collidge. The S/N appears to be either 42891 or 48891 depending on how you interpret the faded numbers. I can't find anything online either.
It's not anything to shout about; just your average old entry level grand. It's probably from the early 1900's. I'll add a few pictures for fun
