    Does anyone have the most recent Yamaha voicing manual / guidelines? I've voiced many Yamahas but have never read the official recommendations. Thanks in advance,

    I don't believe Yamaha has ever published such a manual (there have been some class handouts). You can find some Yamaha manuals in the Service Manual Archive on the education hub. We contacted Yamaha about current manuals for acoustic pianos and were told they didn't have any (lots for digitals).

    You can find voicing instructions from several other manufacturers in the archives, mostly within their general manuals though Kawai has a specific manual about "voicing the RX." There isn't that much variation between manufacturers.

    I recommend  The Voice of the Piano.  The author trained at the Yamaha Concert Tech Academy in Japan.

    I bet it comes from at least as far back as the 1980s. I remember seeing drawings and verbiage quoted back then, and I had pages that look like they came from it in my class handout archives. (Never had seen the whole manual).
