    Yup, it's me again.

The new keysticks, caps, backchecks and stack are all being nice to each other.  I'm calling Wheeler in the morning, but would love more hints on installing the leads correctly.

What say you?  (Yes, I know; crappy stuff to work with and have good ventilation, gloves, facemask, etc to work with the ugliness of lead!) I'm really not looking forward to this step.

I just want to hear what NOT to do from you who have done this.  Rick Wheeler will certainly give me the right installation procedures.

    Thanks
    Paul

Although this was and is a great learning experience on this '32 Steinway L .....I think I'll just have this done by specialists in their special fields next time.  It just took waaaaay more time than I have here on a 40 hour clock!!.

At least I know how to do it now!...but the added costs from the rebuilders who do this all the time is worth a ton of time spent here in my little shop! Knowing how to do it is just a nice notch in my belt for next time.

Bless all you specialists! You're a God-send!  How did the guys find the time in the old days to do all that stuff!!!???

    Paul,

For those who know what is way off base from what should be, there is always the time, whether in the good old days, or these current days.

One has to do what one has to do.

    Paul,

Sorry about the appearance of being cryptic. Even I had to remember why I said what I said. It seemed relevant at the time. Best to just let it go. No harm, no foul.
