  • 1.  Broken Steinway Pressure Bar

    Dear List,
    Routine removing of a pressure bar for restringing today turned into anything but.  A late 1800's Steinway Model F upright.  Two very small cracks at screw holes gave in and broke.  It turns out that the pressure bar is cast iron.  Has anybody had any experience getting a very small cast iron joint like this fixed and if so could you point me in the right direction.
