I am putting out a feeler here for anyone who might be interested in Chickering grand whippen butt plates. (Set or sets).
I know the whole flange and all is available from Schaff but very often, all that is needed is the butt plate since the flange is fine. This is my situation right now and I am considering having some plates made to exact dimensions since the plates alone are not available (to my knowledge). Plus, I have not been particularly happy with the quality I have seen.
Obviously the cost comes down as the quantity goes up.
However, if anyone knows where I can already get JUST the butt plates, I'm interested. No need to re-invent the wheel.
Any interest or direction?
