Hello, Andrea,
While there have been some interesting responses to your question, I
haven't seen any pictures of the instrument. Are there any available
that you might share? Maybe I've missed them?
Having worked on a number of Mathushek instruments over the years, I
know that he may well have (at least) tied CF Stein for the incredible
variation of scale, action, and case designs. Some of these were
surprisingly advanced for their time. So, some pictures would be very
helpful.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards.
Horace

Is anyone out there interested in acquiring a Mathushek square grand, serial number 6801? Definitely a project--a rattling buzz in midrange, mouse-eaten dampers, etc., but cabinet looks pretty decent. It's missing the music stand, but other than that appears to be all in one piece...
Interested in any input about what to do with such an instrument ...
Thanks!
