I've been really liking pipette dispensing of CA following, I think it was, Tim Coate's suggestion on a previous thread.

Only problem with pipettes, is you have to be able to open the bottle to use a pipette. I'm having trouble finding a way to allow me to open my Dryburg bottles...not from the spout, but from the neck of the bottle. I greatly prefer the pipette control as opposed to the spout, so would love to figure out this glitch.

I've tried wrapping the neck threads with teflon tape...no good.

Is there any substance this stuff will not stick to to serve as a bottle. The Dryburg glue is in fine condition, even after having been opened since February, I think it was...so this could be a win, if I can figure out how to be able to open and close the bottle.  Any thoughts?

    Jim,

I use Zap, so I don't know what your bottle is like.  I cut the spout down so the pippette fits in the spout to suck CA out.  Obviously, it's a much larger hole.  The cover still seals the bottle, though.  I have bottles just for pippette use.

But since I'm not sure what your bottles are like, this may not work.

I have always simply used either a pair of "water pump" pliers (in the shop) or small vice grips (on the road) to open the bottles when they are stuck.

I have switched over to BSI CA due to the flexible formula available. Their bottles are oval (for better control) and have a smaller collar, though they still get stuck. I use the pipettes regularly too, though Dryburghs little micro tip extensions(pro-tips I believe) also fit the BSI bottle.

The secret to using pro-tips is to dump them (when clogged) into a bottle of acetone and let it all melt away. Then (very important!) You must blow them out with compressed air. This blows any residual out that may still be lurking in the tube and will re-harden later. I reuse these things regularly also. The pipette just get thrown away.
