In this video I apply steam with a steamer (Conair, made for ironing clothes, puts out a lot of steam over a broad area), moving fairly quickly and watching the bushings as they swell. I stop when they have swollen enough, and before they have pulled away from the wood. I follow with a heat controlled heated caul (Pianotek, straight-sided), inserting the corner of the caul into the middle of the bushing, then straightening it (this helps ensure I don't push a bushing out). One quick pass with the caul to "set" the felt, then, later (after doing all bushings of all keys) I will apply teflon powder with a folded pipecleaner and insert the caul again for final fitting. (second video).
