    Hello everyone,

I would like to decorate my university piano tech office with some interesting posters or pictures related to piano technology.  I just tried ordering the Steinway M cut down the middle from Steinway but was told it is no longer available.  Do any of you have recommendations of interesting pictures or posters worth hanging?  I will have student workers working with me at times, so anything that educates is also a plus.

The PTG Foundation has a poster of the Giraff piano. Call Kathy at the HO for details.

You might get a poster of the Studley tool chest. He was a piano maker. The poster shouldn't be too hard to find.

    Here's Norm talking about it:

That Studley tool chest (and poster thereof) is nothing short of awe-inspiring! Also, it is the subject of our featured speaker at this year's national convention.

Other relevant decor that adorns the walls in our piano shop includes inspirational prints from the Yamaha assembly line ("pianos rolling by as far as the eye can see"), a "history of the piano" poster (also produced, once upon a time, by Yamaha), the ubiquitous overhead shot of a Steinway model "D", without the lid, that cross-sectional diagram of a Steinway model "M" you mentioned (sorry to hear that that is no longer readily available--recommended decor for any piano tech's bathroom!), and various piano recital posters (either because the recital itself, or at least the poster, was just so darn good!).
