I think I'll stick with the book, as long he includes all the info.
Last time I updated (several years ago) it was missing an entire signature (or whatever you call those sections that get sewn together). It just happened that the first time I used it, the piano I was trying to look up was in THAT missing section. Very embarrassing. Of course he sent out a replacement pronto. How often does THAT happen?

Subject: Pierce Piano Atlas Online
I have a couple editions of the Pierce book, downloaded the Online Atlas app, and just paid for the online Pierce website with an annual subscription $12.99j, single use $3.99 or a 28 day usage $8.99. I think the best investment at this point will be the book for $35 hardcover, which is out of date pretty much immediately. Although I presume the online version will be updated regularly how much need for that seriously is there? The Online Atlas App doesn't work well much of the time (but it's free).

The app I use is called the online PianoAtlas, available on the App Store. Has a all of the really common brands, unfortunately not all the uncommon brands are present. And the price is right -- free. Check it out.
