A colleague (who does not participate in these communities) has a small-bodied client with back problems. The client wants to know if there is some sort of automatic lid lifter that can be retrofitted to her Steinway B. I recall seeing something like this at a convention a few years back, but cannot remember who makes it. Anyone?

I have installed these before. They are quite slick, and are very easy to install and to take off. The newest Piano Buyer has a review of them:
