This evening, at a client's insistence (and against my advice) I removed a Pianodisc PDS-128 Plus system from a Young Chang G-157. All went well, and the piano seems fine without the system Of course the trapwork is still modified, but I am looking into getting original parts to make it as much like it was as possible.

The system was working when my client bought the piano from its original owner, but he just didn't want it. He is an extremely gifted pianist, and I think somehow the system offended him.  :)

He is either going to dump the system or make pop art out of it. The only part of the system he wants to keep is the speaker,

Here is the question - is there anyone out there would like to take it for parts or anything like that? I don't think he wants anything for it, but I think it would be good to offer him a token amount plus shipping.  Any takers? If we haven't heard from anyone within a couple of days, I think he is just going to pitch it.

    Thanks,

    Arlin

Dont pitch it because it is hard to get the front ends on these systems to swap out. There are plenty of PDS installers who would not mind having spare parts so maybe you can offer to take it and re-purpose it. One thing you may want to do is plug up the opening in the keybed to prevent moisture, dirt, rodents etc from getting into the action. I had to do this for a system I removed in an S&S. Because of the thickness of the keybed I had to glue up the insert from two boards.

I need it.  Does it use a diskette?   I just went out to one that isn't any good.  I need the head and the power supply. I pay. I pay.

call me or email me.  Thank you
