    Sorry folks,

I can't respond to the topic thread, so another post out of order.

Subbing for other technicians - Most of my experience is with reciprocal concert subbing. There is no "extra service" applicable, and no point of observations or evaluations, as typically concert instruments aren't getting the service budget that they need anyhow.

Subbing for a private client - It is not my client and I would not intentionally do or provide anything outside the normal expectation of the client. Any perception of added value from me would undermine the technician/client relationship. So, either comply as best you can with the service you are substituting for, and remember to say something nice about their regular technician, or don't take sub work.

    Thanks,

    Keith

Thanks for this, Keith. That is exactly what I have been, and will continue doing, and for those same reasons. My post was because sometimes I just can't help second guessing myself and I need the feedback to tell if I am thinking clearly or not. This group is good for a lot of things. Thanks.
