I have to replace the jack-rail (it's separate from the let off rail on this piano) on one section of a Yamaha upright.
I had to remove the rail because it was falling apart.
The rail was attached using what I THINK are rivets: partly threaded on both ends, with a non-threaded middle, and (originally) a plastic thing that I believe expands to prevent the piece from being removed easily. But I did remove it. I am not a carpenter, but I am wondering if a regular threaded piece of hardware would do the job for putting a new rail in?
