You can try Fastenal as another source of large screws, bolts, inserts. A few months ago I bought a huge supply of screws and piano parts from a tech . I am willing to bet there are many of these screws in the stash which I still need to go through. The beauty of old screws/bolts etc are they are real steel/metal none of this junk stuff you get at the big boxes. I plan to measure, sort and put the screws in a vibratory tumbler to cleanup.

I've made it a point to hold on to large screws harvested from junk pianos over the years. I regularly need to access these to replace missing screws in other pianos, especially lured (just had to do that last week). If I can't make an exact replacement it's relatively easy to go up in size using a drill bit, but if slightly smaller one can use wood Rebuilder to resize the hole (assuming of course you can find some WR).

I just purchased a Steinway M built 1989. I found one of the lyre screws is missing. I need to know where I can get them. Not something I can find at Home Depot.
Thanks for any help.
