Hello Marcio,
I missed this thread earlier, but better late than never!
Contact
David Andersen and see if he's willing. He is the high-end technician in Los Angeles, and your best bet at high end training. Send me a private email and I'll give you his contact info.
I trained with David last year, and it not only greatly enhanced my skills, but also changed my outlook on life in general. In addition to being a true artisan, David's a great guy to be around. Definitely worth your time and money to invest in his training.
Also, Jim Busby wrote a series of ebooks (still writing them I think), that I've been very impressed with. Written descriptions of the subject, then videos to demonstrate. They are called Piano Technician Tutorials, and can be purchased rather inexpensively on Apple iBooks, or from
www.pianotechniciantutorials.com. Hope this helps,

Subject: i'm looking for trainning/class
I have asked for information in this forum in the past and you were very polite to me. Again I come back here with a doubt. I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil, I am not a professional in the field of piano tuners, just a hobbyst, but I have a lot of desire to improve my knowledge, I bought some books as you indicated here before, these helped me a lot, expanding my knowledge on the subject. But I want more! I am thinking of attending a training in the USA, (preferably near to Los Angeles, because I have a place to stay at there). I am willing to invest some time and money to acquire more knowledge and techniques. Could you indicate me some options? Any idea how much I will spend for it? And how long does it take? Thank you very much!
