Maggie Juziell recently wrote about using small tubes of CA with tips on the end to treat pins without tipping the piano.
Since I have a tilter I use it on all verticals I treat since many of the pins need quite a bit of CA. Grands do not need much more than protecting the action which you can protect by removing or inserting cardboard or other barrier between the action and bottom of the block.
As far as syringes I use epoxy syringes from the West System, pouring the CA into a glass jar or shot glass and drawing up the CA into the syringe. I find I have excellent control using the syringe which I eventually toss. Because it is not attacked by the CA the syringe could probably be cleaned with acetone. However I am not sure how the rubber in the syringe will react to the CA. If you want to use mix cups make sure they are compatible with epoxy. CA will burn a hole in a plastic cup like those used for cough medicine or hobby work.

Subject: Syringe for CA Application
I had seen somewhere (and of course now I can't find it) where a surgical syringe is recommended for use in applying CA glue to tuning pins on a vertical piano with no need for tilting the piano back...? Anyway, are there any particular syringes that one should use?
Thanks.
