    Hello,

I am trying to get the piano inventory database up to date for Liberty University.  I have been able to determine the age, or year of manufacture, for all but 3 of the 80 pianos.  Many by Pierce Piano Atlas, and some I was able to get by looking online or emailing the manufacturers, etc.  Having trouble with these 3 - any advice?

    Falcone FV-32ED  Serial number PJ0062
    Horugel WG-7  Serial number 1456
Hamilton H391 Baby Grand  Serial number IZ8084

I have been in contact with Gibson for the Hamilton, but they keep emailing me saying the serial number should be 6 digits, all numbers.  I assume this is a Chinese or Korean product now, distributed by Gibson, but maybe I am wrong...

    Thanks!

I believe that the Hamilton is a chinese piano made by American Sejung. You might contact them. Horugel (rhymes with Horrible) was the precursor for Samick, so they may have that information. If the Falcone is also chinese, it's also an American Sejung if I'm not mistaken. Paul McCLoud

    Hi David,

This won't be much help but I can say that I have a customer with a Hamilton grand that has a serial number MT8592.  He purchased it new sometime between 2005-10.  It's safe to say that your piano was made in that time frame.  I don't know exactly which chinese manufacturer was making them that week.  I'll keep digging...

Are the first two digits of the Hamilton IZ - or 17? Just a suggestion... Michael (UK)
