I am looking to put some sort of grip on the thin regulation tools in my kit. What is recommended for adding grip? I am currently using percussion grip tape (it'll start gumming up though). I'm sure electrical tape will do the same. I know there is rubberized liquid that I could use, but I'm looking for something that others have had great experience with.

What is good to use to get more grip on tools?

    Hi Cobrun,
A tip from Eric Schandall - You can wrap a rubber band around the part of the tool that you grip. Replace as needed.

    All the best,
    Jon

Lee Valley sells friction guard tape that only sticks to itself. I use it for finger wraps all the time, but I've seen others wrap tool handles in it.

A client applied some "silicone tape" to a couple of my tools. This likewise sticks "to itself" and does have a nice "grippy" feel to it.

I purchase shrink tubing of different sizes.

It'll last about a dozen years before it starts to loosen.
It has a very comfortable feel and will shrink to fit unparallel surfaces.
