On vinyl If you have a small/tiny hole you can just use VLP glue. If the hole is bigger you can cut a patch that will stuff into/under the hole and apply the glue to the underside of the top through the hole around the edges. The glue melts the vinyl together. You can sometimes find enough vinyl in the bottom edges of the top to use as a patch.
