I am working on a Behr Bros grand piano where the damper and una chorda are inside the piano and consist of metal brackets with one end sitting over a pedal dowel and the other under a damper lift bar which is split so the right pedal lifts all dampers and the middle pedal lifts the bass dampers. the left pedal dowel activates the una chorda shift. I eliminated all of the noises the rotating brackets/trapwork arms made when activated Everything worked fine until I played it and found that the D2 stays down when played while the damper pedal is pressed and G3 will not go down . Didnt have time to finish troubleshooting but I think some how the brackets are interfering with the keys, jack is hung up, parts are rubbing etc I will also check today for rubbing keys or non centered hammers and whippens, I can post pictures if it helps
Perhaps someone has worked on this brand and can suggest where I should focus. All action parts are original and the knuckles are on the square side. I will probably pull the whippens and test the action center pins . the key fronts are not rubbing on the key slip and I did apply CLP to the jacks and hammer flanges of each key
