I agree these are terrible pianos. I'm planning on using it as a learning experience for a young technician I am mentoring (since he was 15 and now 24). The store just wants the work done and will pay, so we're going to make the best out of the situation. The brackets have been ordered from Supply88 (where I've gotten brackets before) and away we go!

There are now two sources for action brackets--Young Chang America and Supply88. The last I checked, Young Chang carried only one of the sizes, but Supply88 supplies both. I've been happy with products from both suppliers.

Anything made by Young Chang in those days used cheap pot metal for action brackets, no matter what name they stenciled on them. Nothing to do but replace them.

Does anyone have experience with Bergman grands and growing action brackets? The piano is from around the early 2000s, made in China by Young Chang, and showing all the signs of growing brackets. I've never worked on a Bergman piano and a local store took one in for resale.
I can't find much online about them, but the store has found a sight that lists the age in to early 2000s.
Any help would be appreciated.
