  • 1.  Caster socket/adapter dimensions for Yamaha C7 from 1989

    Hi,

    I have a Yamaha C7 conservatory (#4634531, manufactured 1989-90) that needs concert casters. I'm getting mixed information on the socket/adapter dimensions, though. Does anybody know if this piano uses the 45/47 mm or the 51/54 mm adapter?

    The piano is located in another town. I'll go there to check the dimensions out on-site if needed, of course, but if there's a standard size used for this model and age I'd be thankful to get that information.

    Why not get 3 of each size ? My guess would be the one on the right Adapter Y . Beware that current production may not match up with what you need. I went through this recently putting new casters on a G2 Yamaha. I had to use a router to enlarge the diameter of the hole in each leg. Because of the supply chain delays it took about 15 weeks to get all 3 casters and sockets

    Thanks James, I've done something similar on a Bösendorfer mismatch some years ago :) I'll take your sound advice and get both adapter sets.
