    Just saw this TV news item re: Chuck Behm's development of a year-round waterproof piano to be donated to Boone, Iowa.

    Interesting look at how he developed a key that could survive the year-round outdoor exposure.

    He's got the key issue solved, how many 1,000's of parts to go?

    Thanks for sharing.  When I worked at Interlochen there was a piano entropy project. Where they put a grand piano outside.  Some how they thought they would be able to keep playing the same piece on it day after day.  After a day or two, half the notes weren't sounding. First rain, nothing.  But they found a way to make sound of the percussive nature on the case.  The piano was disassembled and the case was used as a planter and placed in the library.  I hope Chuck's project lasts longer.
