I have a call for a grand wagon system with horrible pedal clicking when the player is engaged. (Video attached) If anyone has come across this issue before, I'd love to hear what the solution was. I

The fact that the MK I Wagon is still working is good news. My first guess would be pedal adjustment. Too much lost motion somewhere in the chain. DKV pedals do not adjust the same way as a normal pedal. If you pull the solenoid cover off you should find instructions for pedal adjustment printed on the inside. Make sure you have a small ruler that measures in mm's. My next guess would be a worn out solenoid, or a tricky bushing adjustment up near the solenoid collar that takes a small screwdriver. That adjustment is not on the inside of the cover. You might have to give Yamaha tech support a call while you're there: 800-854-1569. Be aware that they close at 5 M-Th and 4 on Friday, West Coast time. They also take a lunch break from 12 - 1 every day but the hold message does not tell you this.

Definitely a mechanical sound parts rubbing/hitting . start at the pedal box and move upward, take the shield off and listen. Is there any noise when the pedal is used normally ?

Some noise, but not as much. I'll see the piano on the 26th

The total noise is the sum of the parts. Start at the pedal cups and work up. You need to isolate it . It looks like there is something on the threaded rod so maybe there is a worn bushing there that the pedal rod is hitting it could also be a problem in the linkage and trap works. You probably will need to remove the action and work the damper lift tray by hand or press the right pedal. Another possibility is something worn on the pedal solenoid.

CAUTION -m you may need to unplug some of the cable connectors inside the action cavity
