    When trying to find a strange WOOT-WOOT noise in the damper assembly of a Kawai GS-40, tighten the damper guide rail FIRST, before going through all the other perfectly logical shenanigans.

    Its like Murphy's Law - the last thing you try solves the problem. Maybe it should be included in the regulation steps when you tighten action screws. Another one is tightening and centering letoff button rails as well as the rattle rail (aka key stop rail)
