I have to replace several strings on a grand piano in about two weeks. The hitch pin loops of two bass strings and the hitch pin for several plain strings fell victim to high humidity. All broke at that end of the strings. In order to make the repairs close to original I am
looking for the thickness of a strip of felt to use here or even hitch pin punchings I could measure what is there now but would prefer to purchase it . So what is this felt called and who can supply it ? Schaff has all sorts of felt but I have not seen anything in their catalog for the location it is in
