1990 Kawai BS-10 upright, the owner complaining that it is deafeningly bright. Apparently the previous technician replaced the hammers with Bosendorfer hammers, and also removed the muffler rail and did not replace it. The trapwork is there. I have contacted Kawai Parts and they no longer make these and do not have any. So I need get the right size and bass/tenor configuration to match this piano. How do I do that?

I voiced down the treble using Compass Point needling, very interesting, followed by some fabric softener-alcohol mix, and he is quite happy, and says he might be happy without the muffler rail. But I think he needs it. What do you think? What would you do?
