  • 1.  Nose bolt for Steinway

    Can somebody help to find replacement for broken Steinway nose bolt , thin one, closest to straight side of the piano, Steinway B ( I believe this bolt is the same for all models) . Steinway does not sell it. Suppliers do not carry it. Please help!!!!

    BTW, how hickory bridge caps work? 
    Working on piano factory in USSR, , 6000 pianos per year we had systemic problem of bridge cap  splitting. We used beech. Every time cap made of tangential milling it splits. Radial works ok. Perhaps we used too sharp kiln drying process , that leaves too much tension....
