Greetings!
A while back, there was a discussion about what software people were using to manage piano inventories. It happens that at the same time I was working on building my own solution.
If anyone is interested, I've made this an open-source project. If you'd like to test what I've made so far, you can use this link: https://overtone-test-site.onrender.com . This just has some AI generated dummy accounts, not real pianos or customers. (Even though I'm in Milwaukee, the AI defaulted to Chicago area). You can edit and delete whatever you like, the data resets every 24 hours. Hopefully it's enough to get a sense of the workflow.
In the real world, I'm not sure that I would be interested in actually trying to host this for other people, though I'm tinkering with creating company accounts. For now, if someone wanted to host their own web app instance, and they know what they're doing, they should be able to start it up without too many issues.
Also, keep in mind, I am not a programmer, just a hobbyist. So, this is not the most polished code, and was built with a lot of help from AI.
The software is open source, but with a "share your changes" rule. Anyone can use or modify it, but if they improve it and offer it online, they also have to share those improvements back with the community. The GitHub repository is here: https://github.com/DowellPiano/PianoMaintenance
If you try it out and find any bugs, or have any suggestions as well, let me know. Please respond privately.
Thanks!
