Does any on this list have experience with the Pierce Piano Atlas online? My wife was looking for the most recent edition since ours is from 2007 and came across the online version for $6.99 a year. She would prefer that I try it rather than spend $48 for a paper version. I don't think it's a scam but wondered if others had tried it.

If you're talking about the app on the phone, I have it and it's been fine for me.  I do think the paper version has more information, but if you already have that I wouldn't hesitate to get the app.  It's handy when you're in the home and want to satisfy the curiosity of the client.  Otherwise you'll be going out to the car to retrieve the book, etc.

I use the online piano atlas everyday. It works well, except there's a glitch for Baldwin pianos under 42". (All of them are mysteriously from 1984.) Hopefully that will be fixed soon. Otherwise it works fine and I highly recommend it.

Personally, the paperback version got left in the vehicle and never used. I've been using the Piano Age app (either by Piano Atlas or an analogue?). It gets used several times a week. Still can't figure out the Samick IPGK type sns.

Mr. Roeder: The online atlas is used frequently here. The Baldwin anomaly and the Samick challenges are real. For example: If the Baldwin is an Acrosonic, search for Acrosonic. I believe it is the only manufacturer's model that has its own listing. You've been around this block enough to figure out most, if not all, anomalies that may occur, but they are few. 90's issued Wurlitzers, Kohler and Campbells, most models that were made by a parent company, may have its challenges. Still, well worth the price of admission.
